How is a general drug? Wikipedia gives the following definition: "Drug without brands (pl. drugs without brands, briefly: Generics) is a narcotic which is generated and is distributed without trade name. General must contain the same active ingredients like the original formulation. In most cases it is looked as bioequivalent of the trade name copy concerning pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic qualities. By the enlargement, therefore, as one accepts, are identical generics in the dose, the strength, the way from government, security, effect, and deliberate use." The important research, development and market costs which are taken over from the big pharmaceutical societies in introducing a new narcotic to the market are often cited as the reason for the high costs by new agents - they would like to attain these costs again, before the patent runs off.
